What more can you add to a beach reception, that already benefits of all the elements necessary to transform a wedding venue into a perfect one? In case of a beach wedding, a marrying couple has anything that they could desire, meaning see (or ocean), sand, relaxation, music delivered for free by seagulls and waves, lovely flowers and plenty of joy.

Well, a marrying couple that has thought to celebrate their wedding by the sea/ocean can actually enhance their wedding venue by following some of these pieces of advice.

The first one is to have a lovely coral wedding cake, that is perfect for a wedding by the beach. Plus, a coral motif will be always in fashion, and never become outdated. Another idea, that involves a wedding cake again refers to order a cake styled after ‘sailors’ valentines’ and decorated with intricate shell patterns. And if this is not enough, choose a cake inspired by the ocean’s waves. Every tier of the cake should be bordered in bamboo made of fondant and should have a design that mimics the shape and look of actual waves.

Another idea is to dress yourself into a lovely dress or suit, specific for this type of event. Do not think that if we are talking about a beach wedding, this is an informal event by default, and the bride and groom should appear at their wedding dressed only in their bathing suits. A beach wedding can be as formal as the happy couple wants it, because the formality of a wedding does not necessarily depend on the location where the wedding is celebrated, but on many other aspects. For example, a wedding celebrated on a beach can be indeed informal, if only 20 people are invited to the wedding and if the wedding is in fact organized around a campfire. On the other hand, a beach wedding that takes place in a fancy restaurant, located on an even fancier beach, could be extremely formal, showing this way that the location where an event is organized is not that important in relation to the level of formality of that event.
