A wedding venue is a location used for celebrating a wedding, and where a party is held after the completion of a marriage ceremony. The reception party is usually organized by the happy couple, and sometimes by their parents. At the wedding, the new couple greets their guests, as a new family. Hosts provide their choice of food and drink, although in some cases, they also ask their guests about what they would love to eat and drink at their reception party.

In Birmingham, West Midlands, Great Britain, the most appreciated wedding venues selected by couples in 2012 were Suriya, Aalto Restaurant and The Karczma.

Suriya is an Indian restaurant, located at 426 Kingstanding Road. This restaurant offers the best curry in all England, is lovely decorated with Indian objects and provides a warm welcome. A great wedding menu at this restaurant could include lamb chops and prawn puri. Also, guests will be able to enjoy a traditional dish, called biryani, lamb Tawa with lemon and the saag rice, which is another specialty of this restaurant.

Aalto Restaurant is for those who love the British cuisine and atmosphere. This restaurant is included in La Tour, a hotel found on Albert Street, in Birmingham. Just like the previous restaurant, this is a rather affordable one, a wedding there being evaluated at less than 2000 GBP (around 25 people). Unlike other restaurants in Birmingham, the Aalto really knows the lesson of presenting beautifully a dish, which is also accompanied by a great service. Everybody at your wedding will be impressed by the atmosphere at this restaurant and also by their large collection of wines. Regarding the drinks there, we have to say that the personnel is trained to tell you what type of drink you should choose for a certain meal, so in case you or your guests did not spend a lot of time in restaurants, and you do not know how to combine drinks with foods, the staff there will help you out.

Our third and last option for today is The Karczma, another exotic restaurant where a happy couple could organize a wedding in Birmingham. Dishes there vary around $30 and are very tasty, made after 100% Polish recipes. The Karczma is found on Bordersley Street, in the Polish Millennium House. This restaurant has a very interesting interior design, allows happy couples and their guests to get immersed into a nice atmosphere, and is easy to find, being located in the Ladywood neighborhood in Birmingham. Whether marrying couples have Polish roots or not, The Karczma is always a great choice for a wedding: portions are huge, the service is very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant looks fabulous from top to bottom.
