Welcome your guests with a glass of lemonade

Lemonade is cheap, whether you make it from oranges, apples or bananas. Rich people usually think of welcoming their guests with a glass of champagne or martini, without taking into account that the most impressive effects in life are offered by those simple things. So ask the hotel where your guests will stay or talk to your parents (if your guests will be accommodated in their house) to serve everyone a drink like this, that is a thoughtful way to receive a person you care about.

Start your wedding with light dishes

In order to show they have plenty of money, rich people start their weddings with heavy foods, that will make their guests feel uncomfortable and have a much lower desire to dance. This is why it is important to serve fruits and very light hors d’oeuvres, that will not only help people start their night in a healthy way, but they will also help them converse more.

Use ice-breaking games

This is another idea that should be considered at the beginning of every reception party, if you plan a budget wedding planning. It does not cost you anything to use some ice-breaking games at the beginning of the wedding party. This type of games will make people collaborate and the entire wedding atmosphere will become more relaxed. You can use the advantages provided by a talent show-like game, by karaoke or by fun crossword puzzles, that uses as clues, spicy details about you as a couple.

Plan some group activities

It is important to make people talk to each other, if you want them to have a good time. If you cannot offer them the most expensive wedding cake on the market, and also if you cannot place platinum decorations on tables, like some rich people do, at least rely on their power of conversation, that will help them have a good time. But for this, you need to arrange some group activities and bear in mind that risky adventures are not an option, so if you like rock climbing, do not consider organizing a mountain excursion, since some of your guests may not be that resistant as you. Also, do not organize a swimming competition, since not all people can swim. Instead, keep these activities open to everybody, such as creating origami decorations or designing floral arrangements.
