A Perfect Celebration

Wedding candles are important at any wedding reception, because they set a warm atmosphere and illuminate the environment where they are placed.

Generally, wedding decorations are created by the staff of the restaurant where the wedding will be organized, especially if these decorations are represented by candles; no restaurant manager will let outside decorators to decorate his/her own restaurant with decorations that could set his/her place on fire, if misplaced. So the staff of that restaurant has to be certain that candles are placed where they have to, in order to avoid any potential fire. Let us not forget that candles, besides being perfect for some beautiful wedding centerpieces, are also very dangerous.

The first recommendation we make to happy couples wanting to use some candles as wedding centerpieces is to place tall white taper candles on guest tables, and then surround them with vases filled with dendrobium orchids. This type of centerpieces should be used at a black-tie wedding.

Another idea is to use some Mason jar candles; obviously, these centerpieces are appropriate for an informal wedding. The trick is to use Mason jars of different heights and sizes, where to place some votive candles. There should be mentioned something here: Mason jars tend to become very hot, this is why a sort of a warning should be written on them, to allow guests to acknowledge the fact that they can become extremely hot and even burn their hands. Mason jar candles should not be placed on guest tables where children are expected as well, because most likely not all of them can read, and because their parents might not be all the time attentive to them and prevent them from getting burned.

The next idea is very much related to the previous one, only that this time, instead of using those Mason jars, we suggest you to use a vintage candelabra featuring iron arms and small glass vases, thus to place those votive candles (or even taper candles) inside every glass vase. This is quite an extravagant centerpiece, that can be used with success at a formal wedding reception.

And if you need one more idea, use a modern take on luminarias, by placing some votive candles inside highly colored paper bags. And to make sure that your candle centerpiece will not be that easily forgotten, update the look with chic stripes printed onto those paper bags. Our suggestion is to use 5 or 6 paper bags like this on every guest table that accommodates 10 guests. Or, if you want to offer these paper bags as wedding favors, use a bag like this for any guest invited to your wedding.
