A wedding planner checklist must take into consideration all the services and products that have to be purchased for the upcoming wedding. Each wedding planner should have a checklist like this, if not written, at least in his head. Here is what the categories of a wedding planner checklist should be.
Wedding invitations
Chronologically, the wedding invitations have to be considered first either by the happy couple (if they do not address a wedding planner), or by the wedding planner. Invitations should match the color of the wedding, that should be established by the happy couple (in collaboration with their wedding planner, or not). Besides wedding invitations, couples can decide to send to their potential guests some reply cards, ceremony programs, personalized postage and labels, save the date cards, and also thank you notes. In case of organizing a wedding shower before the wedding, they should also send wedding shower invitations.

Flowers are a must for any wedding, even if it is organized in spring, summer, autumn or in the winter. It does not matter if flowers grow in the fields, or if they have to be purchased from very distant stores; you definitely need to have flowers on your guests’ tables. A wedding atmosphere can be enhanced by many decorations, but only flowers manage to create that magical environment that any bride and groom desires. Happy couples and their wedding planners should consider purchasing a bridal bouquet, bouquets for bridesmaids, floral boutonnieres for groomsmen, pew chair flowers, reception floral arrangements, altar flowers, flower girl’s petals and many other decorations featuring artificial or natural flowers.
Wedding attire
The bride’s dress and the groom’s tuxedo are very important and they should definitely be chosen by a happy couple only when they would be helped by a professional. When trying to create a certain wedding attire for yourself, you can easily make mistakes, unless you are a fashion designer yourself and know very well how to combine various clothes to create an excellent overall appearance. Besides the wedding gown and the tuxedo, wedding attire refers to the bridal shoes, lingerie, bridal slip, garter, and also to the flower girl’s dress and ring bearer’s suit; these have to be paid by the happy couple, unless anything else is established by them and the flower girl’, respectively ring bearer’s parents (usually the flower girl and the ring bearer are children aged 5-6).
Wedding gifts
Another category that has to be included in any wedding planner checklist refers to the wedding gifts that are offered by the happy couple to their wedding participants, and also to each other. The most important gift that they should purchase are those for themselves, for their parents and grandparents, and for their godparents, bridesmaids and groomsmen. After purchasing gifts for the most important family members and friends, the happy couple could start buying wedding favors for the rest of the wedding audience. Wedding gifts can be purchased on the Web or can be created by the marrying couple.

A wedding timeline requires a lot of flexibility and foresight. For this, you have to decide what wedding venue and vendors are the best for your big event. The next step that has to be considered is to determine what you want to accomplish at your wedding. Some couples want to have the best time of their lives, others focus on being present in most of the photos taken at their reception, some are obsessed with time and want everything to happen as planned, others want to have the best weather ever, and so on. While problems like traffic, whether and time cannot be predicted, having the best time of your life can be predicted indeed. A happy couple can accomplish this desire, when they will stop analyzing travel time, when they will stop worrying about the weather and road conditions, and when they will start living their life together with more joy.
Finally, one of the most important steps that have to be taken into account is to identify the difference between all those small events where you want to participate versus those events where you have the energy to participate. You may desire to go to the National Reservation in your city, to take some photos on your wedding day, you may also want to take your father from the airport and greet your grandmother when coming from a distance town, but will you have the energy to do all this? Will you have the time for this? Take into account that many wedding-related rituals are very long, therefore, it is important not to plan picking up your father from the airport or greeting your grandmother, because these small events could never happen because of your tight schedule, and you might get frustrated, because you were not capable of doing what you had planned.

However, if they do not have the budget to address a wedding planner, they will have to deal with everything themselves. So here is what the bride and groom have to know before their wedding.
If they are a traditional couple, they will announce everybody that they got engaged. Also, if they plan their wedding a year after their engagement, they can throw a small party only for their relatives, to celebrate the engagement.

If they do not want to address a wedding planner, they would have to find their wedding venue themselves, and also deal with all the other details of a wedding without any help whatsoever. They could get help though, if they use the services provided by a decorator; a professional like this will help the bride and groom choose a certain wedding theme and the most appropriate colors for their theme.
If the happy couple wants to receive certain gifts from their wedding audience, they can use a gift registry. After writing down the products they need, their wedding guests (those who have confirmed their participation at the wedding) will select what products will buy each of them.
In the early stages of planning a wedding, the happy couple needs to find their attire, discuss with a wedding photographer and videographer, with a professional florist, wedding cake designer, caterer, musician and transportation company (they might rent several cars or even a bus to transport their wedding audience from place to place).
When they are ready with all these, the happy couple has to choose their bridesmaids and groomsmen. However, in some cases, this process is much faster, time in which the bride and groom have to comprise all the activities that are otherwise performed without too much stress, in just a month or two and with plenty of stress.
Today, we want to present you the activities that need to be taken into account by a happy couple that wants to get married. As you have noticed, we did not say when that couple plans to get married (a month or a year after the marriage proposal); so these activities that will be mentioned here can be considered by both those who have plenty of time at their disposal (meaning a year or more than a year to plan their wedding), and also by those who need to organize rapidly a wedding.

Immediately after the big proposal, the happy couple needs to announce their guests that they are invited to a wedding. In case of a wedding that needs to be organized fast, the bride and groom can let their parents to deal with sending the wedding invitations, and they could become more preoccupied with their wedding attire.

Speaking of which, the wedding attire is probably the most important element at a wedding, especially the bride's gown. In case a wedding is organized in a rapid pace, the bride will have to deal with whatever she finds on the market, meaning that she will not have the time to discuss with a tailor or wedding dress designer, to create the dress for her, according to her preferences. Either way, choosing the wedding attire is the second most important step in planning a wedding, after sending the wedding invitations.

But not only the wedding attire is important; the flowers, candles, interior and exterior decorations, tablecloths, wedding cake, musicians, wedding rings, all of them are very important and must be dealt with a lot of care. In case of a wedding organized very fast, it would be recommended to ask for the help of a wedding planner, that can solve plenty of the issues that could appear, without too much stress and money. In case the couple does not want to benefit of the services of an event planner, and also if they have plenty of time to organize their wedding themselves, they need to be warned that this activity is kind of stressful and very time-consuming, not mentioning that they could end up spending more money at the end of this process, than they would spend if they would hire a wedding planner.

First of all, we need to say that a wedding checklist is a plan according to which the wedding planner or the marrying couple acts on the wedding day. In other words, the checklist need to include all the details that should be taken into account at the wedding ceremony and then, at the wedding reception.

Some wedding checklists include the rehearsal dinner as well, but this depends on the desire of the couple to have a rehearsal dinner before the wedding itself. Nowadays, couples prefer to organize another party a week before the wedding, party that resembles a bit the wedding that will soon take place. However, because a rehearsal dinner needs money as well (obviously, not as much as a wedding), today's couples prefer to skip it.
But besides the rehearsal dinner checklist, ceremony checklist and reception checklist, there are also some other elements that appear on the agenda of a wedding planner or marrying couple and these are: flowers and stationery. These are extremely important elements, this is why they are not included in the ceremony or reception checklists.

Alright now, it is time to see the elements included in the wedding ceremony checklist. The most important element here is the marriage license. If you don't have it, the priest cannot unite you and your partner in the holy matrimony, so make sure you have it when you go to the church. There, you need to pay attention to the sound system, if you want your guests to hear the priest’s speech and also your vows. Take good care of the church decorations as well, so that the photographer and videographer to capture good shots, respectively record good videos. Regarding the wedding reception, the elements that need to be taken into account are: the restaurant, hors d’oeuvres, glassware, flatwear, chairs and covers, coffee and tea makers, punch bowl, napkins, dinnerware, tables and linens, bartender, candles and holders, centerpieces, security, serving staff, dance floor, water pitchers, toasting glasses, sugar, sweeteners, milk creamers, lemons, limes, valet parking, guest favors, sound system, music, cake, menu, drinks, cake knife and so many others.
Now regarding the last question, namely who needs to have a checklist, the wedding planner or the marrying couple, the answer is the wedding planner, if the couple hires a wedding planner. If they don't, they will need to organize the entire wedding by themselves, which is a bit difficult, if they have more than 100 guests.
