Creating a handmade product was never easier. Designing your own wedding invitations is a very simple process, as long as you have a computer (and it is obvious that you have, since you read this article), and a printer.

The first step in designing your own invitations is to download and customize a template from the Internet. There are literally thousands of websites that allow you to download all sorts of designs and drawings that you could use as they are, or customize according to your preferences. After choosing a certain pattern, all that you have to do is to buy a special paper (created mainly for invitations of all kinds, not for writing on it with a pencil) and then start printing those invitations.

In case you want to personalize the envelopes with the same design that you have used in case of the wedding invitations, you don't have to buy a special printer that allows you to print envelopes; you can use the same printer that you have (and that you have used for printing those invitations), only that the envelope (because it is smaller than an A4 sheet of paper) will have to be positioned in a certain manner to be properly printed. At first, you may go wrong with its position, but after 2 or 3 more attempts, you will get it right.

In the process of creating a handmade wedding invitation, you can also use ribbons, flower petals, fabrics, sand and many other materials that could make your invitations unique.

However, if you do not want to send paper wedding invitations, but some unusual invitations, like the ones made only from silk, you could buy several meters of this fabric, and then start to sew your wedding details on some square, round or rectangular pieces of silk, that will be your wedding invitations.
