Immediately after recovering from the shock of being proposed to marriage, a bride should start looking for her wedding gown. It is considered that in case of a wedding that is planned for an entire year, a bride searches for her wedding gown for about 9 months. Yes, you have read this correctly, a regular bride looks for a wedding dress for nine months. And in case of a wedding that is organized on a short notice, like for example 3 months after the big proposal, the bride spends 3 months as well for finding the right dress. This is why the first task that has to be taken into account by any bride, whether she benefits of the help of a wedding planner or not, is to start looking for her dress.

During the process of finding the most suitable dress for a wedding, the bride along with her partner could think of something else as well, such as what will be the theme of their wedding, what will be the main color used at their wedding, what types of flowers they will have, what kind of food they will serve, how formal their wedding will be and many others. Depending on some of the decisions made during the process of organizing a wedding, the bride could have second thoughts related to the dress that she wanted in the first place, and she could ask for something else. This is why the period of finding the right dress is so long, because during the wedding planning process, many changes occur.

A happy couple planning their wedding needs to have in mind also a certain budget, which should not be exceeded. However, they need to be flexible as well, especially when they have to combine practicality with fantasy.
