Set a date

It all starts with a date, when you and your partner will get married. Select that date, because all the other tasks that have to be considered are 100% connected to your wedding date. This first operation will take you a week or maybe more, because you will have to find a suitable church for your religious ceremony, and also a restaurant where to celebrate with your guests. You may not find a church available on the same day as the restaurant that you have in mind for celebrating your wedding, so be flexible and take into account that you may book the church on a certain day, and the restaurant, one week after that.

In order to keep your expenses low, many happy couples decide to celebrate their wedding in their own home. If they have a garden, it is even better, because their guests will have the possibility of experiencing a sort of an outdoor wedding as well. By selecting their house as the location where they will celebrate the happy event, they will not face the aforementioned problem anymore, of booking the church on a certain day, and the wedding venue, one week after that. Establish a budget

If a couple decides to choose the services of a wedding planner, they must not let themselves tricked by a planner who only wants to earn money out of a business like this. For a wedding planner, planning a wedding is a business, while for a happy couple, is their most important task, so if possible stay away from expensive wedding planners, that only want to rip you off. Therefore, establish a budget, that will not be exceeded, not even if your wedding planner tells you to purchase some more decorations, or to hire another musician, because he is better than the one that you have previously selected. Bear in mind that you make the rules, not your wedding planner.

Choose the level of formality of your wedding reception

After selecting the wedding reception venue, church and a wedding planner (or a wedding planning agency), the happy couple should decide if they will have a casual or formal wedding. This is very important, because this aspect will be mentioned in the wedding invitations that they will send. In case of a formal wedding, the happy couple and also their guests will be dressed formally and very elegant, and in case of an informal event, they will have the possibility of making use of their creativity, while respecting all the moral rules.
