The designs of wedding invitations depends on the materials from which the invitations are made. For example, we could have paper wedding invitations, satin invitations, wooden invitations, metallic invitations and so on. The most popular type of wedding invitations is represented by paper or cardboard invitations. This type allows their creators to design an infinite number of patterns and models.

If you had the curiosity of searching for paper wedding invitations online, or if you have ever been to a wedding after receiving a paper invitation, you already know that this type of invitations features a large range of colors, designs, it can be adorned with all sorts of unusual elements, such as actual flower petals, silk, beads, sequins, Swarovski crystals, and many others.

The symbols that are used the most frequently on wedding invitations are represented by the silhouettes of two people (obviously a male and female), a heart, two interconnected rings and other elements that have a certain significance for many people, not only for the couple that offers those wedding invitation. These elements are butterflies, deers, flowers, balloons, forests, horses, sky, clouds, green leaves, candles, a house (representing the unity between two people and the newly formed family), and in some cases symbols of money, such as ‘$’.

All these elements appear on the front cover of a wedding invitation, and sometimes they can be represented on their inside as well. Also, the envelope that contains a certain wedding invitation that emphasizes, for example, a deer, could feature as well the symbol of a deer. And since we have mentioned envelopes, we should talk about RSVP cards as well, which should have the same design as the wedding invitations, if they are sent along with the invitations, like the etiquette requires.
